Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary team. This role involves working with schools and preschools to support students with complex needs.


About the Role

As a Social Worker, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working with children and young people who have truancy, attendance, engagement, and retention issues. You will work closely with preschool and school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop evidence-based interventions.

You will have experience in working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or complex family dynamics. Your skills and expertise will help identify underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop targeted strategies to address these needs.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake relevant training courses and maintain professional registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support students with complex needs
* Work collaboratively with preschool and school staff, parents, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
* Conduct assessments and develop service plans to support students with truancy, attendance, engagement, and retention issues


Qualifications and Experience

An appropriate degree giving eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers is essential.


Working Arrangements

This is a part-time position available until further notice. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.
