The Music & Audio Production Program, unique to WA Health, offers a creative opportunity to help consumers on their mental health recovery journey. This evolving Therapeutic Program uses a holistic, person-centred approach within the creative arts to identify clinical need, capture the therapeutic and healing process, evaluate the therapeutic progress and to reinforce creative identity.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Part Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments at FTE) hours per fortnight. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31 December 2026.

What is our Coordinator Music and Audio Production Program role?
This role leads the Music and Audio Production Program CECAT at North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS). It involves key-working a complex clinical caseload, applying specialised mental health assessments, interventions and evaluation and developing music therapeutic interventions and programs.

The program provides individual and/or group interventions; grading and adapting of music related tasks and the environment; skills development to support occupational performance and participation; and audio recording, mixing, production and performances. Focus is on participation, inclusion, empowering individuals through collaborative strengths-based processes and acknowledging the agency of sound, technology, instruments and environment in shaping therapeutic encounters.

This program continues to evolve and is an exciting opportunity for a therapist/clinician who has a vision for creative and innovative program development.
