Payroll Officer required for 6-12 month non-ongoing with Federal Government Department

Small Government department is looking for an APS 5 Payroll Officer
**Your new role**
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the payroll and reporting requirements. This department use a shared service provider so no processing as such. Some of your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Administer and coordinate payroll activities via outsourced payroll provider
- Answer questions regarding payroll, long service leave, superannuation and prior service
- Work with HR and coordinate reporting requirements
- Provide support and assistance with recruitment, employment contracts, policies, performance management, learning and development, workplace health and safety and workers compensation and rehabilitation as needed
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role within the APS or private sector
- Baseline security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
- Aurion experience essential
- Excellent communication, administrative and organisation skills
- Work well within a small team and have strong stakeholder engagement
- Australian citizenship
**What you'll get in return**
6-12 month non-ongoing. Salary range $74k - $85k + 15.4% super.
