About the Role:
RecruitUp is seeking a
skilled and experienced Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farmer
(specialising in Sheep farming) on behalf of our client in
Princetown, Victoria,
a stunning location along the Great Ocean Road. This role involves overseeing all aspects of farming and farm management activities, including the cultivation of broadacre crops and the breeding and raising of livestock (namely Sheep).
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheep husbandry, breeding, and general farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be required to plan, organize, control and coordinate the livestock care, pasture management, and farm maintenance.
Proven experience working with sheep in a commercial farming environment.
Strong understanding of animal husbandry, feeding, breeding, and general livestock care.
Experience with routine farm tasks such as fencing, shearing preparation, and machinery operation.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Physically fit and able to handle manual work in outdoor conditions.
Experience in crop farming including planting, fertilising, spraying, harvesting, and crop monitoring.
Ability to operate and maintain cropping machinery such as tractors, seeders, and harvesters.
Knowledge of pest and weed control practices relevant to broadacre or fodder crops.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheep farming and crop farming experience.
Willingness to live and work in a regional location (Princetown, VIC)
Ability to provide references and work history relevant to both livestock and cropping.
Driver's license and experience operating farm vehicles and equipment
