Senior Product Manager, Complex Products
CommSec's purpose is to empower more Australians to grow their wealth, as Australia's leading online broker. The CommSec Product & Investing Solutions (P&IS) Crew's mission is to bring the best investing solutions to all Australians for every stage of their lives. This includes oversight of the CommSec product portfolio (Equities, Margin Lending, Cash and Derivatives) and accountability for Product, Risk, Regulatory, Technology and P&L outcomes. We manage, develop and implement product features, services and systems across the customer lifecycle to help deliver our purpose.
This role sits within the Complex Products squad, which is a squad within P&IS that consists of product and risk professionals. The squad is responsible for CommSec's International Trading, Margin Lending and Exchange Traded Option products.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will report into the Chapter Area Lead for Product and will support the Executive PO in day-to-day management of the 3 products, including input into shaping the product strategy and roadmap. You will play a pivotal role in driving shareholder, customer, and risk outcomes. You will have a wide range of responsibilities including pricing & portfolio optimisation, risk & controls, complaint management, issue and incident management and other day-to-day product management tasks.
Key Responsibilities / Focus Areas
* Management of the end-to-end product value chain
* Monitoring of product P&L, product performance and competitor landscape
* Ensuring continued product compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant Group Policies and Standards
* Proactive identification, mitigation, and management of product risks
* Acting as the Product SME on key initiatives
* Building and fostering strong relationships across the product value chain, to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues
* Coaching of the Product Managers in the squad to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes
* Identification of growth opportunities and delivery of initiatives to continuously improve the product offering
* Gaining insights into customer needs, and leading change to resolve customer pain points
We're Interested In Hearing From People Who Have
* Domain knowledge in investing and stockbroking or similar products is highly desirable
* Strong product management experience with demonstrated expertise in managing a product, P&L and driving product growth
* Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and success in leading and executing on product strategy and initiatives
* Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder engagement and management capabilities
* Strong problem-solving capabilities, with experience navigating and resolving situations that may be complex or ambiguous
* A passion for customer centric product design
* Experience working in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with others
