Dunsteel is seeking a proactive
Compliance & Safety Coordinator
to support both our Moss Vale fabrication facility and our construction projects across NSW. This role will champion safety, quality, and industry compliance helping our team maintain high standards across all operations.
This is a full-time, office-based position in
Moss Vale
, with occasional trips to Sydney for site safety audits or compliance checks.
About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring Dunsteel meets all WHS and quality obligations across our workshop and construction sites. This includes developing and maintaining safety systems, coordinating training and VOCs, supporting QA documentation, and ensuring compliance with structural steel standards including
AS/NZS ****
.
This role suits someone who understands construction and/or fabrication environments and enjoys working across safety, compliance, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and implement WHS policies, SWMS, risk assessments and safety procedures
Conduct safety inspections in the workshop and at Sydney construction sites (occasional travel)
Coordinate staff training, licences, VOCs and induction requirements
Assist with QA systems including ITPs, material traceability, welder qualifications, WPS management
Support compliance to
AS/NZS **** – Structural Steelwork
Ensure all plant, lifting gear, and equipment meet testing and compliance requirements
Manage contractor and client portal submissions (e.g. Hammertech)
Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
Maintain compliance registers and prepare documentation for audits and pre-qualification systems
What You'll Bring
Experience in construction, steel fabrication, or similar environment
Strong understanding of WHS practices
Excellent organisation and documentation skills
Ability to build strong relationships with workshop, site and project teams
Confidence navigating safety systems and compliance requirements
Highly regarded
Cert IV in Work Health & Safety
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Experience with structural steel QA or
AS/NZS ****
Experience conducting VOCs, training coordination or toolbox training
Familiarity with Tier 1/2 contractor safety systems
