Our team is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join us as a Parks and Gardens Maintenance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of parks and gardens, ensuring they are safe and attractive for the community.
The ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture, turf management, and weed control, as well as a valid White Card and current driver's license. You will work closely with our team to maintain high standards of service delivery and ensure that our parks and gardens are well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of parks and gardens, including mowing, pruning, and weeding
* Operation of equipment such as ride-on mowers, edgers, blowers, and brush cutters
* Weed management, including manual removal and application of herbicides
* Litter collection and cleaning up of paved surfaces
* Tree planting and street watering programs
Requirements:
* Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent experience
* Current White Card
* Previous experience in a parks and gardens environment
* General understanding of irrigation systems
* Safe handling and application of weed spraying chemicals
* Competent in the use of electronic devices
* Current unrestricted C class driver's license
