Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients regarding service costs
- Handle and resolve client complaints ethically
- Provide advice on vehicle types, purchase or hire rates, and obligations
- Organise maintenance services or repairs of vehicles
- Maintain and distribute service and repair logs
- Ensure all vehicles comply with roadworthiness, OH&S, and environmental standards
- Receive and process orders and bookings
- Plan and implement efficient transportation schedules
- Organise collection and delivery of vehicles and goods
- Ensure goods are stored and transported under conditions that maintain their quality
- Manage the arrival, departure, loading, and unloading of trains
- Organise and supervise company and contract drivers to meet freight requirements by agreed deadlines
- Maintain detailed business records
- Prepare operational statements and reports
- Handle general administrative duties including data entry, generating reports, filing/archiving, and responding to calls and queries
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Oversee driver fatigue management issues
- Liaise with finance regarding supplier invoice queries
- Maintain maximum availability of the fleet through scheduled servicing and planned preventative maintenance
- Manage fleet maintenance vehicle defect reporting, assess, and action all reports
- Arrange with contractors for vehicles to be repaired
- Assist and contribute to tender and bid submissions for new service contracts
- Check all employee and contractor run sheets for inaccuracies or time delays and manage any discrepancies
- Report to the Director and perform other duties as assigned by the Director
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
