Legal Advisor Position
BaptistCare is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our new national Legal Risk & Governance team. As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with the General Counsel and a passionate Legal Risk & Governance Team.
You will provide in-house legal support, draft and negotiate agreements, interpret statutory and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver practical, commercially oriented advice.
Your role will extend to governance support including company secretarial tasks, board management and documentation. You will be a trusted advisor, a diligent researcher, and a champion for BaptistCare's mission and values.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-house legal support to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
* Draft and negotiate agreements to secure business partnerships.
* Interpret statutory and regulatory requirements to inform business decisions.
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver practical, commercially oriented advice.
* Support mergers and acquisitions, manage claims and disputes, respond to regulatory actions, and help maintain policies and procedures.
* Extend governance support including company secretarial tasks, board management and documentation.
