About The RoleWe have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse with experience in Ophthalmology to join our clinical team on a Casual basis.
Monday to Friday flexible roster, some Saturday work available and is optional.
No public holidays and the Christmas/New Year period closed.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
Assist the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care.
Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery.
Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus.
Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications.
Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery.
Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift.
About YouYou have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare.
You will have:
Solid experience in a Scrub/Scout Ophthalmology role in a peri-operative setting.
Experience in Plastics, Oral/Max-Fasc and Ortho desirable.
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar.
Current AHPRA registration.
Ability to work a flexible roster.
