Healthcare Australia WA Pty Ltd, trading as Workforce Extensions North Perth Health is a nationally renowned labour hire and recruitment business. We are currently seeking a caring, reliable and experienced Support Worker to join our team permanently.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance, including support with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility based on each client's needs.
Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding assistance, routine housekeeping and maintaining a safe home environment.
Support clients in participating in community, social and recreational activities to promote independence and engagement.
Help monitor the general wellbeing of clients and promptly report any concerns or changes in their condition to supervisors or health professionals.
Follow individual care or support plans and adjust tasks as required to meet changing client needs.
Provide emotional support, companionship and encouragement to foster confidence and daily functioning.
Assist with practical tasks such as shopping, attending appointments and performing basic household duties.
Maintain accurate records of services provided, client updates and any incidents or observations.
Use safe manual-handling techniques and follow all health, hygiene, safety and infection-control practices.
Work collaboratively with families, coordinators and healthcare providers to ensure consistent, person-centred care.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in support work, aged care, disability, or community care.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Community Services or similar (highly regarded).
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
Understanding of professional boundaries, duty of care and confidentiality.
Current police clearance, First Aid/CPR, and WWCC (or willingness to obtain).
Driver's licence and reliable transport.
What We Offer
Permanent full-time role (38 hours per week)
Competitive salary between $75,000-$80,000 / year plus Superannuation, depending on the experience.
