We are seeking a motivated, experienced registered Psychologist to join our Wellbeing Team in a temporary part-time capacity. This position works during the term time and commences at the beginning of Term 1 2025. This role is to cover someone who is on leave and will conclude at the end of Term 4, 2025.
Our team of School Psychologists are key members of the Wellbeing Department at Ravenswood, and the main function of this role is to provide counselling and psychological support to our students.
Minimum Requirements:
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
* Experience as a psychologist in a school or community-based setting;
* Experience with CBT as well as a strong interest in positive psychology and related therapies;
* Familiarity with trauma-informed interventions;
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice;
* Experience in providing quality evidence-based services for children, adolescents, and their parents;
* Experience working with groups;
* Experience in staff training;
* Experience working with children and adolescents from Prep to Year 12;
* Endorsement in clinical or educational and developmental psychology is desirable;
* Minimum 3-5 years working as a psychologist.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
* Strong understanding/experience working with young people and families of diverse cultural backgrounds;
* Ability to work with children and adolescents with disabilities or learning needs;
* Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools;
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology;
* Eligibility for registration with Australian Psychological Society (APS).
