Strategic Tourism Development Manager
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive tourism strategy to drive economic growth and enhance the region's visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and lead a team of professionals in the development and implementation of tourism initiatives;
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local businesses, community groups and government agencies;
* Contribute to the development of the Visitor Economy through strategic marketing, event development and management, and operations of the Visitor Information Centre;
* Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform tourism development strategies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a leadership or management role in the tourism industry;
* Strong knowledge of destination marketing, event development and management, and customer service principles;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams;
* Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
