The role is within a restaurant attached to a well established motel in Moranbah. The team is small and consists of one chef with one or two kitchen hands. The restaurant currently only opens for dinners on weeknights. The menu consists mostly of dishes consistent with conventional Australian pub food.
Job responsibilities
This Position is Full Time. We require a fully qualified and experienced chef to cook a variety of meals on a set menu. Alterations to the menu can be done with the manager's approval according to the chef's skill set. However our customers will expect quality consistent with previous offered options.
Although the restaurant is only open for dinners, day hours will be spent maintaining the kitchen area, maintaining appropriate levels of necessary supplies and inventory, and also carrying out necessary administration tasks.
Skills and experience
We are looking for an applicant capable of meeting various customer demands under a high-pressure working environment. All applicants need to be able to work mostly alone and self-directed. We expect the applicant to have a consistent employment history with relevant experience.
