The Role: HR Driver:
As an HR Driver, you'll be the face of Sadleirs on the road, behind the wheel of our company-owned trucks, proudly sporting Sadleirs Green
Your responsibilities will include:
* The safe transport and loading of goods ensuring all relevant requirements are met including strapping down of load, correct loading procedures and manual handling techniques
* Being a highly experienced HR driver with multi-drop, tautliner skills-set
* Ensuring that pre-start safety checks are completed on the vehicle and if required complete or organise maintenance or repairs
* Being responsible for all con notes having the correct weight, cubic, dated, driver number pallet & Dangerous Goods information
* Responsibility for the proper collection, processing and handling of freight con-notes and other freight documentation including, but not limited to, Pallet, load sheets, timesheets and daily run sheets
* Adequately following all requirements in displaying correct signage and completing Dangerous Goods paperwork
* Inspecting loads for damage or issues, report problems and offer suggestions or solutions
* Complying with pallet management and control procedures
* Communicating with forklift operators, fleet controllers and transport managers from Sadleirs Logistics and other terminals to ensure correct freight is collected and loaded safely
* Following correct manual handling techniques and ensure seating is ergonomic and comfortable
* To actively promote positive cultural behaviours and attitudes in support of company ethos
What you'll need:
* Valid Australian HR Driver's Licence
* At least 1 year of experience is required
* Strong understanding of Load Restraint and Fatigue Management
* Dangerous Goods Licence highly advantageous
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and more importantly a fantastic, can-do attitude; and
* The right to live and work in Australia
