Role: Full-Time Mental Health Support Worker (HASI Plus Program). Location: Carlingford & Western Sydney Region. Rotating 24/7 roster (Mon–Sun). Shifts: 6:30am–3:00pm; 2:30pm–11:00pm; 10:30pm–7:00am, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
Salary: SCHADS Level 2 + Salary packaging (commensurate with experience).
Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of individual assistance for consumers with a mental illness, based on individual recovery goals to support consumers.
* Assist with the monitoring and review of consumer recovery plans, in partnership with Clinical Lead, carers/family members/clinicians/community organisations as appropriate.
* Promote positive self-care strategies, enhance social and daily living skills, increase vocational capacity, and support community integration.
* Complete risk assessments and safety planning activities as required for consumers engaged with the service.
Essential Criteria
* Availability to work AM & PM shifts between Monday to Friday.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Peer Mental Health, Mental Health or Community Services or related field or equivalent.
* At least two years of experience working with consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.
* NSW full Driver's License.
* Understanding of the Principles of Recovery-Orientated Mental Health Practice.
* Demonstrated ability to develop Individual Support Plans and utilise outcome measures.
