The Nursery Coordinator role will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the **Kui** **Nursery in Colac and South Geelong Community Nursery.** Working alongside the Manager Colac Business Enterprises and reporting to the Manager Landcare, the Coordinator will lead the collection of seed and cuttings, propagation, supervision and training of supported employees and nursery supervisors, providing superior customer service and improving and optimising daily functions of the nursery. Your daily overseeing responsibilities will include
- Provide clear direction to Nursery supervisors regarding growing priorities
- Ensure that stock is well managed so that customer orders can be delivered as per contract or agreement
- Accurate and timely completion of tasks and ability to meet business needs as required
- Ensure stock levels are well managed at all times
- Oversee the management, education and mentoring of a Horticulture apprentice
**A Full-time ongoing role from Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm**
**About you**:
- Proven experience working in retail nursery sector and/or working horticultural sector
- Supervisory experience and or being a reference point
- Large volume propagation
- Local plant knowledge
- Proficiency when understanding the task at hand and communicating these instructions to people with different abilities
- Patience and calmness under pressure
- The ability to motivate and energise a team environment
- Current Australian drivers' licence
- NDIS Screening Workers Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion
