We're excited to welcome a Podiatrist to our Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics Team.
The position will deliver podiatry clinical services for assessment and treatment for clients who have acute foot disease and associated conditions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health. This is in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
Podiatry clinicians within allied health work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within podiatry as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff at HP3 level will be required to rotate across SCHHS as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines (with some exceptions).

Key Responsibilities include:
Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the Podiatry Service and the multi-disciplinary team, as well as engaging in professional development activities to ensure maintenance of relevant registration and /or professional membership.
Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of podiatry services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols with a priority on the high risk foot.
Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to students and Allied Health Assistants.
Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
Remuneration value up to $ p.a., comprising salary between $ $ p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Fixed Term Temporary position available for 12 months).
