Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is a world class, industry-owned and privately-funded terminal located at the Port of Gladstone. This modern, state of the art terminal was built to expand the region's coal export capacity, becoming operational in 2016. WICET is searching for a graduate Systems Engineer to fill this exciting new role in our Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team. This role focuses on supporting our Operational Technology (OT) Systems and Infrastructure, which includes:
Manufacturing Execution Systems (Alarm Management, Delay Management, Historian, Production Management). Terminal Systems (Air Quality Monitoring, CCTV, Collision Awareness, Fuel Management). What's in it for you?

Completed (or nearing completion within 1 year) University qualification in the field of: > Information Technology; or
> Computer Science; or
> Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (desirable: control systems focus).
Work experience or intern placements in industry-relevant roles. General familiarity with: > Data & database concepts (e.g. can interrogate SQL database)
> Industrial process control components (PLC's, SCADA)
> Programming/scripting languages.
Ability to write concise documentation / capture as-builts / document data and process flows. Foundational logic, reasoning, mathematical and analysis skills, abstract reasoning, ability to engage with others, work in situations of uncertainty/unknowns. The Graduate OT Systems Engineer role will incrementally take on increasing responsibilities, in line with technical development and experience. Key initial responsibilities include:
Developing "as-built" documentation for systems, data and processes. Assisting in the planning and execution of system changes and upgrades. Performing initial triage and assisting others to resolve basic incidents and requests in the OT environment. Review and contribute to technical assessment of planned changes. Collaboration with OT vendors. As part of our internal IS&T team, you'll be working with collaboratively with others to support technology for our terminal. This role reports to the IS&T Lead.
