Support Worker Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

* Any skill/experience level is encouraged to apply Ongoing training provided.
* A current driver's licence, a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance, valid NDIS Worker Clearance, valid Working With Children Check, First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
* Those with certificates or experience supporting people with disabilities are highly regarded.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Deliver client-centred support, including promoting client independence, strengths-based approach to developing skills and abilities, community access/participation.
* Assist with activities of daily living and domestic activities.
* Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct and in accordance with care plans and NDIS goals.
* Follow all policies and procedures.
* Maintain privacy and confidentiality principles at all times.
* Build professional relationships with participants, their families, and stakeholders.
* Support development of independence, increasing client choice and control.
* Provide positive, respectful, and dedicated support.
* Apply a problem-solving mindset to support clients' mental health and well-being.
* Offer flexible shifts to suit family schedules.
* Provide ongoing roster and stable weekly shifts.
* Participate in employee mentoring programs and professional development opportunities.
