Customer Support – Vehicle Fleet Telematics

About the Role
Sensium Fleet Telematics is a growing Australian business with over 20 years experience specialising in world-leading vehicle GPS tracking platforms and fleet telematics hardware — not computer or IT support.
We are seeking a customer-focused support person who enjoys helping people, learning new systems, and working with vehicle-based technology. This role suits someone practical, organised, and keen to build a career in the automotive technology or fleet industry.
Full training is provided, and prior telematics experience is not required. If you prefer hands-on technology rather than traditional IT or software support, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
• Providing friendly support to customers and field technicians
• Handling enquiries via phone and email
• Logging and managing support tickets
• Assisting with setup, testing, and preparation of telematics devices
• Performing basic testing, fault checking, and refurbishments
• Conducting scheduled customer check-ins and service follow-ups
• Working closely with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
⚠️ This role supports vehicle tracking hardware and fleet systems — it is not an IT helpdesk, software development, or network support position.
What We're Looking For
• Strong communication skills, especially over the phone
• Helpful, patient, customer-first attitude
• Willingness to learn products and processes
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
• Comfortable using basic computer systems
• Able to work well in a small, supportive team
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Interest in vehicles, electronics, or automotive technology
• Exposure to 12/24V systems or vehicle accessories
• Automotive, trade, or technical background
