Primary Objective
The role will work in collaboration with the Safety and Quality to monitor compliance and drive quality improvements for the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards partnering with consumers and communicating for safety standards. You will work in collaboration with Menzies School of Health Research, the Aboriginal Interpreter Service, and key stakeholders to ensure there is effective communication between Aboriginal patients, their carers and families, multi-disciplinary teams and clinicians across Gove District Hospital, to support coordinated and safe care for Aboriginal patients. The role will facilitate training in cultural safety for health care providers at Gove District Hospital and will work with the Menzies research team in the collection of quantitative data and patient experiences. / Applies advanced nursing/midwifery knowledge, skills, attributes, and abilities within a specified area of clinical practice in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as with families, groups and communities. This is a part time vacancy available for 0.4 (16 hrs) per week. Selection will be made at the AO5 or N3 level depending on the experience /qualifications of the successful applicant.
