WHO WE ARE
We are Australia's largest and oldest Student Union. We are about students on Campus. As the primary provider of coffee & food on campus, we have a wide range of cafes and quick service venues that include our own Food Truck & Coffee Van.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Serving customers and making them feel welcome
Preparing and serving outstanding hot/cold beverages
Ensuring coffee utensils and equipment are clean and sanitised regularly
Helping with general duties including accurate order taking, cash handling, serving food, cleaning, and supporting the team with your infectious 'can do' attitude
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
At least 2 years' experience working with commercial coffee machines in a high-volume environment (using at least 5kgs of beans per day)
At least 2 years' demonstrated customer service delivery in a food service or catering role (café experience preferred)
Latte art experience
Passion for coffee and desire to enhance latte art skills and coffee knowledge
Experience in opening a café/venue and ability to organise and present café service areas
Demonstrated cash register and cash handling/EFTPOS experience
Strong level of verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of customer types
Excellent personal presentation
Flexible 'can do' attitude towards work
Able to move between USU Venues as required
DESIRABLE SKILLS
An understanding/experience of the use of the juggler milk system
Conversant with the BEPOZ point of sale system
Knowledge of cost control and stock control
Experience in the preparation and delivery of high-volume coffees, smoothies, juices and salads
Understanding of HACCP procedures or food safety programs
Current Food Safety Certificate

THE PAY
$56,304 p.a. + 12% Superannuation
HOURS OF WORK
38 hours per week, between the hours of 6.30am-5.30pm during Monday-Friday (depending on the business' needs some flexibility is required).
