Responsibilities & Desired Skills
* Knowledge of the physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children.
* Capability to engage children through age‐appropriate activities and experiences.
* Knowledge of health, hygiene and nutritional needs of children.
* Effective communication with children, families and staff.
* Experience or interest in supporting children with additional needs or challenging behaviours.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
* Ability to meet the physical requirements of an early childhood setting.
Demonstrated Understanding Of
* National Quality Framework (NQF)
* Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
* Child Protection, Mandatory Reporting and Workplace Health & Safety issues and practices.
Qualifications
* Approved Certificate III or Diploma level qualification for early childhood education.
* Child protection qualification.
* Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training.
* Working with Children Check verification number.
