About the Role
Western Australia County Health Service (WACHS) is recruiting Consultant Psychiatrists across various specialties, including general adult, social and community, old age, child and adolescent, and addiction psychiatry. Candidates will deliver comprehensive patient care across hospital and community settings and may work in a range of geographic locations within the state.
Eligibility & Qualifications
* Applicants must be an Australian citizen or hold permanent residency status in Australia.
* Medical practitioners with fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry are strongly encouraged.
* RANZCP trainees in their penultimate year of training who have completed all training requirements are strongly encouraged.

Remuneration
Southern Regions (Year 1‑9):
* Annual salary ranges from $377,556 to $479,490 inclusive of base salary, public service leave differential, and 11.5% superannuation.
* Alternatively, sessional rate of $723.76 to $919.16 per session.
Northern Regions (Year 1‑6):
* Annual salary ranges from $526,977 to $626,991 inclusive of base salary, public service leave differential, and 11.5% superannuation.
* Alternatively, sessional rate of $1,010.20 to $1,201.92 per session.
Benefits
* Generous leave entitlements: annual, professional development, long‑service, sick, and leave for compassionate or cultural reasons.
* Employer‑contributed superannuation of 11.5% per pay period.
* Gratuity payment: lump‑sum equal to 12 weeks’ salary after 3 years continuous service, and 4 weeks’ salary each subsequent year (specific locations only).
* Access to employee‑sponsored work visas including permanent residency (conditions apply).
* Relocation assistance for interstate and international applicants (negotiated on a case‑by‑case basis).
* Entitlement to capped flight pricing between Perth and the region.
