Job Description:
You will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care, working in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
You will be expected to provide Social Work intervention to a wide variety of patients in acute care, including surgical, medical, critical care, emergency, maternity, paediatrics and aged care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high standard of clinical care to patients in acute care settings.
* Work collaboratively with Medical Officers and other healthcare professionals to achieve patient outcomes.
* Develop and implement effective social work interventions to meet patient needs.
* Provide education and support to patients, families and carers.
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to social work practice.
Selection Criteria:
* Degree in Social Work and eligibility to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Experience working in an acute healthcare facility, preferably in a social work role.
* Highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workload demands.
