About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney, Organic Chemistry to join our team. As a key member of our Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys (PTA) Group, you will work closely with attorneys and lawyers across all offices, collaborating with Partners and the wider team to gain exposure to complex IP matters.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple Partners while specialising in areas of interest and building a strong foundation in technical expertise. You will be responsible for providing patent-related services to local innovators and international clients in competitive commercial environments, including drafting and prosecuting applications, IP portfolio management, high-stakes patent oppositions and litigation, freedom-to-operate searches and advice, validity and infringement opinions, and developing and implementing IP strategies in a global context.

Requirements
We require experience in a law firm or patent attorney firm, or a combination of private practice and in-house roles, as well as a PhD or advanced degree in organic chemistry. Post-graduate qualifications and research or industry experience are also essential. Experience drafting or prosecuting patents in the chemical and pharmaceutical field is advantageous but not essential.
