In this role you will provide expert, timely and pro-active advice on all financial and business management issues to support the Director's, Business Managers and Executive staff of the directorates within the Health Service.Make the move, Make a differenceAs a Business Analyst, you will enhance the financial, human resource and business capability of the respective services, through ongoing analysis of results and activity that will position the services for future progress.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate knowledge of relevant financial management standards, financial management policies, accounting principles and contemporary financial management practices within a public or private health system and the capacity to interpret such to provide authoritative advice on requirements.Have well-developed skills in the use of information management systems, including financial databases (eg DSS NECTO and advance level Microsoft Excel).
Ensure data quality across the Directorate in relation to clinical costing, counting and coding in collaboration with the Clinical Costing Team.Ensure compliance with Commonwealth requirements such as statutory reporting, and compliance with the Financial Administration and Audit Act, and the Financial Management Practice Manual and ensure compliance with internal controls.Assist in the analysis of trends to improve operational effectiveness against business unit level KPIs.
