I am partnering exclusively with a specialist Investment Firm, who are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join their Sydney-based team. This temp-to-perm opportunity, available for an immediate start, offers broad, hands-on exposure across Private Equity and Private Credit. Working closely with senior principals and investment professionals, you'll play a key role in financial control, reporting, and analysis, while partnering with external providers and supporting oversight across multiple business entities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to step into a value-adding role within a dynamic, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end accounting process
• Prepare monthly financial accounts and management reports
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis with performance commentary
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of all accounts and ledgers
• Oversee external service providers, including bookkeepers, tax agents, auditors, fund administrators, and custodians
• Ensure compliance with all statutory tax requirements
• Provide financial oversight of daily funding and bank accounts
• Apportion expenses accurately across business units
About you:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial reporting or corporate accounting
• Exposure to Financial Services, particularly Private Credit or Private Equity Fund Management, is highly desirable
• Strong consolidated reporting experience
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Experience with Xero or MYOB advantageous
