The Role
As a Non-Destructive Technician (NDT) Procedure Developer, you will work with a collaborative Defence, APS and Contracted team that develops aerospace NDT general and platform specific procedures. You will use your aviation NDT trade knowledge, skills and experience as a certified Level 2 NDT Technician to exploit state of the art technology to solve problems.
You will participate in procedure and equipment research and be able to apply and develop your skills in one or more tasks involving Liquid Penetrant testing, Magnetic Particle testing, Eddy Current testing, Ultrasonic testing and Radiographic testing.
You will be able to undertake individual tasks when required. Assist with the introduction of new technologies and support testing and evaluation of NDT support equipment. Perform technical information reviews of platform specific NDT publications and associated procedures. You will review and interpret standards, practices and equipment. Participate and contribute in the provision of Centre of Expertise advice.
