Recently, the company has expanded into the US and broader wholesale channels, while streamlining its local operations by consolidating multiple warehouse sites into a single, centralised facility in Melbourne's north.
About the role
The Logistics Coordinator sits at the centre of day-to-day supply chain operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods across a global network. The role is responsible for managing both inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with distribution centres, supporting wholesale deliveries, and making sure all logistics activity meets the required compliance standards.
Working closely with freight partners, internal teams, and customers, this role acts as a key point of connection across the supply chain. It plays an important part in maintaining service levels, managing costs, and keeping deliveries on track, ultimately supporting the broader operational performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate international inbound shipments end-to-end, from factory through to delivery into local and offshore distribution centres
* Liaise with freight partners to manage bookings, schedules, and delays, keeping stakeholders informed
* Maintain accurate shipment tracking to ensure clear visibility of ETAs and risks
* Work closely with DC teams to ensure stock is received, processed, and ready for sale efficiently
* Support inbound efficiency by ensuring correct labelling, palletisation, and stock allocation
* Manage wholesale order dispatch, balancing cost and service to meet customer expectations
* Coordinate direct shipments from Asia in line with routing, labelling, and compliance requirements
* Monitor order timelines and step in early to resolve any delaysBuild strong relationships with freight forwarders, brokers, and transport providers to support smooth operations
* Partner with internal teams across Planning, Sales, Ecomm, and Finance to align on priorities and resolve issues
* Proactively identify and manage risks across the supply chain, minimising disruption
* Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical solutions
* Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with import/export regulations
* Maintain clear records to support reporting and audit requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations, ideally in apparel, retail, or consumer goods.
* Demonstrated knowledge of international shipping processes, including air and ocean freight.
* Experience working with import/export documentation, customs clearance procedures, and relevant regulations.
* Proficiency in logistics systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency highly regarded).
* Relevant qualification in supply chain, logistics, or business administration is desirable but not essential.
Nature of contract
It is initially a 7‐month contract with the opportunity to extend beyond this.
