About the role
Father and Son Mechanical, a well-established family-owned auto repair shop in North Ipswich, QLD, is seeking a qualified and experienced mechanic to join our dedicated team. As a fulltime Qualified Mechanic, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our workshop, taking on a diverse range of repairs and maintenance tasks across all makes and models of vehicles.
What you'll be doing
1. Conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues
2. Carrying out general servicing, repairs and maintenance work on customer vehicles
3. Test driving vehicles to ensure they are operating at optimum performance
4. Providing professional and courteous customer service
5. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry techniques and technologies
What we're looking for
1. Formal trade qualification in automotive mechanics, with 3+ years of hands-on experience
2. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve complex issues
3. Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
4. Commitment to working safely and following workshop procedures
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
6. A keen eye for detail and a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship
