About the role
Gold Road has a newly created role for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join the team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Senior Commercial Analyst, we are seeking an experienced professional who can build positive internal and external relationships while providing contract expertise, support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining a high standard or procurement and contract management for high risk contracts
* Implementing and contributing to the development of contract management plans
* Overseeing the procurement contract lifecycle involving tasks that are primarily associated with contracts and are aligned with the procurement strategy
* Offering expert guidance on procurement policy best practices and identifying, mitigating and escalating procurement risks
* Updating and maintaining contracts registers, ensuring compliance and reporting on contractor performance
* Demonstrating superior relationship management and providing a high level or stakeholder engagement with internal customers
* Spotting issues and coming up with practical solutions for complex problems
About yourself
The key requirements include:
* Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
* Extensive contract management and procurement experience, with a strong commercial acumen
* Previous experience excelling in stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
* Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication
* An outcome focused professional, passionate about delivering a high quality of service
* Demonstrated analytical skills with a high attention to details
* Advanced computer software skills, including excel and ERP packages (Pronto desirable)
* This position is located in Perth, Western Australia
