The Casino Food Company is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.
We have an exciting opportunity within the Maintenance Department for an Engineering Services Foreman (Fitter/ Mechanical) to help lead our team of maintenance and trades staff. The role will report to the Maintenance Management team and will be responsible for overseeing a team of trades staff, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and machinery across our 3 processing plants in the Northern Rivers.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
* Manage the maintenance team's response to preventative and reactive maintenance.
* Formulate maintenance strategies that align with production requirements and the long-term goals of the maintenance department.
* Foster a collaborative and positive culture within the maintenance team.
* Oversee the quality of works to ensure it is to an acceptable standard and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
* Promote a strong safety culture within the team, ensuring compliance within an ever-changing safety environment.
* Assist the maintenance management team to develop, implement and review department specific practices and procedures.
* Lead regular meetings with maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and timely flow of information throughout the department.
* Conduct training needs assessments of maintenance personnel to identify skills shortages and potential training opportunities.
* Resolve minor staff grievances and escalate issues as necessary.

* Relevant trade qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded.
