Bar Manager Role
OpenAir is a nightly festival in Sydney harbour, celebrating film and the city's lifestyle.
As a key team member, you will be responsible for leading and managing our bar staff, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that the bar operates efficiently throughout the event.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including inventory management, cash handling and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
* Lead and develop a strong and well-established FOH and BOH team.
* Recruit, train and develop staff to achieve excellent customer service and operational standards.
* Assist with rostering, timesheet approval and on-the-job performance management.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a similar managerial position within a bar venue.
* Hold a current RSA Certificate.
* Knowledge of liquor licencing laws and venue compliance obligations.
* Valid NSW White card (or willing to obtain).
* Experience in running an efficient, fast-paced bar.
* Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think on your feet and multi-task.
