Placement Coordinator Role
The Placement Coordinator oversees the organisation and delivery of Allied Health placements across the East Kimberley. This includes coordinating logistics, supporting students, and maintaining strong relationships with clinical partners. Based in Kununurra, the role is central to delivering high-quality, culturally responsive learning experiences for students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administration & Systems: Provide high-quality administrative support, managing student data, enquiries, and documentation. Maintain accurate placement tracking systems and prepare reports, summaries, and datasets as required.
* Placement Coordination & Logistics: Coordinate Allied Health clinical placements with Academic Leads, Clinical Educators, and partner organisations to ensure students receive safe, effective, and culturally responsive learning experiences. Manage all logistics associated with placements, including schedules, finances, travel, and accommodation, in collaboration with relevant teams.
* Stakeholder & Community Relationships: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with placement partners, universities, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, and other key stakeholders. Organise orientations, workshops, training sessions, and student events, including local cultural orientation activities where required.
* Student Support: Support students throughout their placement experience through proactive communication, problem-solving assistance, and pastoral care, escalating concerns appropriately.
* Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure placement activities align with curriculum needs, accreditation standards, and policies. Identify and address placement-related issues, interpreting relevant policies and implementing practical solutions to support safe and effective placements. Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing placement processes and recommending enhancements.
