Kitchenhand/Bakery assistant - Afternoon Shift
About the role
Eric's Continental has an exciting opportunity for a Kitchenhand/Bakery Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. Working in our modern kitchen based in Laverton, VIC 3028, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and bakery production during the afternoon shift.
What you'll be doing
Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team with bread preparation, including washing, portioning ingredients
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens and other appliances to support bakery production
Restock and rotate ingredients, materials and supplies as needed
Ensure all work areas are clean, tidy and organised at all times
Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
What we\'re looking for
Prior experience as a kitchenhand, bakery assistant or in a similar food preparation role
Minimum 6 months\' prior experience as a kitchenhand, bakery assistant or in a similar food preparation role (or equivalent hospitality experience)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Good physical stamina and the ability to be on your feet for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 20kg
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Flexible and willing to work afternoon shifts
Valid right to work in Australia
