Seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in a 12-month contract with the opportunity for extension. This exciting role will see you provide procurement support across the South Coast Region, ensuring excellence in procurement practices.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of infrastructure and goods and services procurement, with experience in end-to-end procurement activities including planning, document preparation, evaluation, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
Responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking procurement activities, adhering to relevant departmental policies and procedures;
* Preparing comprehensive procurement plans and documents, as well as negotiating contracts with suppliers;
* Providing expert advice on contract management, supplier relationships, and negotiations to project managers;
* Developing the procurement capability within the region through training and guidance;
* Promoting best practice procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing ad-hoc procurement advice.
Consideration criteria include previous government experience, infrastructure or goods and services procurement experience, and demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement.
