About Our Client
We're partnering with a well-established and highly respected organisation that's known for its positive work culture, collaborative team environment, and strong commitment to people. Due to growth and internal progression, they're now seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their payroll function and help lead the delivery of timely, accurate, and compliant payroll services across a large employee base.
Job Description
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, help lead process improvements, and be a key point of contact for payroll-related queries. You'll be part of a large payroll operation, processing complex, high-volume pay runs on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process end-to-end payroll for a large, multi-site workforce
- Interpret awards, EBAs, and relevant legislation
- Support junior payroll team members and share knowledge across the team
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on reporting, audits, and system updates
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll delivery
The Successful Applicant
- Solid experience in end-to-end payroll, ideally in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident using payroll systems (e.g. Aurion, SAP, Chris21, or similar)
- A team player with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills
