Maintenance Electrician Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to fill this critical position within our dynamic maintenance team in Queensland, Australia.
This is a crucial hands-on role responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of advanced food processing and packaging machinery.
* Apply exceptional fault-finding abilities to minimize downtime and contribute directly to operational success.
* Work closely with fitters, production, and QA teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all relevant safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and WHS/OHS regulations.
* Fault Finding & Diagnostics: Diagnose and rectify complex electrical and control system faults on diverse industrial machinery.
* Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment longevity and reduce breakdowns.
* Installations & Upgrades: Participate in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and electrical systems.
* Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records within the CMMS.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A current and valid Australian Electrical Licence.
* Proven medium-level experience as a Maintenance Electrician within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
* Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach to identifying root causes of failures.
This role operates in a production environment which includes working in a cold room with temperatures ranging from 3°C to 10°C. The role involves physical activity, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting (within safe limits), and working around machinery.
