Total Equipment Sales Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Crane Electrical Technician to join our client’s team, supporting construction projects throughout SEQ. We are a leader in the tower crane and materials handling industries, servicing clients throughout SE QLD and northern NSW. Based out of the Yatala yard and starting ASAP, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical systems on tower cranes, mobile cranes and associated lifting equipment. Having experience in a similar role is essential, as your key responsibilities will include:
* Performing routine and preventative electrical maintenance on crane control systems and lifting equipment
* Diagnosing electrical faults in motors, control panels, wiring systems and safety circuits
* Inspecting, repairing and replacing electrical components including sensors, relays, limit switches and contactors
* Conducting electrical testing, commissioning and system checks to ensure safe crane operation
* Interpreting and applying electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and manufacturer service documentation
* Ensuring compliance with WHS policies, electrical safety standards and crane industry regulations
* Assisting with installation and commissioning of electrical systems for tower cranes and lifting equipment
To succeed you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Strong electrical fault-finding ability across industrial machinery and control systems
* Proven background working with electrical systems in heavy industry or construction equipment
* Experience working with motors, industrial wiring, sensors and electrical safety systems
* Understanding of crane operating principles, electrical protection systems and load monitoring equipment
* Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
* Effective communication and high attention to detail
* Relevant electrical trade qualification or licence
* Current drivers licence
* Construction card
* EWP and Forklift would be an advantage
The starting hourly pay rate for this role is $60/hr + penalties, negotiable for the right applicant. A vehicle and fuel card may also be provided depending on experience.
