Indooroopilly State High School is a co-educational independent public school with a commitment to student success. We seek a Head of Department to lead our Design & Technologies department, covering Design, Industrial Technologies (Manual Arts), Food and Fibre, and to act as the RTO Manager.
About the Role
The Head of Department will be an agile leader with a record of success in school improvement. The key focus is on meeting the needs of each student and developing future problem-solvers, decision-makers and risk-takers who move into the future with confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities Include, but are Not Limited To
Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Lead the relevant curriculum areas to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Ensure teaching and learning occurs in the faculty with relevant workplace health and safety and risk assessment processes in place.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
