People and Culture Manager

$130,000 base + 12% super | Salary packaging to $15,900 | Five weeks annual leave + birthday leave
Saltbush Social Enterprises, a respected not-for-profit making a real difference across the Northern Territory, is seeking a strategic and hands-on People and Culture Manager. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the organisation's people function, driving initiatives that build capability, engagement and a positive workplace culture.
About the role
You will shape workforce strategies, deliver best practice across the employee lifecycle and provide expert advice to managers. From recruitment and onboarding through to performance, policy and compliance, you will ensure Saltbush's people strategies align with its mission and values.
Key responsibilities
* Lead development and delivery of people and culture strategies
* Provide expert advice on employment law, industrial relations and workforce management
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance and offboarding
* Manage policy and procedure development to ensure compliance and best practice
* Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
* Develop and deliver learning and development programs
* Manage HRIS (Employment Hero) and maintain accurate employee records
What you will bring
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, business or related field
* Five or more years in a senior HR or people and culture management role
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and workplace relations
* Experience in not-for-profit, community services or smaller non-corporate settings
* Skilled in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
* Confident, approachable and culturally aware
