About The Role
Full-Time | 12-Month Contract | Wollongong
At Anglicare, we understand that life can throw unexpected challenges—illness, job loss, rising costs. That's why we're here. As a Client Support Worker, you'll be the first point of contact for people seeking Food and Financial Assistance, offering both practical help and hope for a brighter future.
You'll provide intake and support both remotely and face-to-face, ensuring every client feels heard, respected, and empowered.
What You'll Be Doing
* Welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism—whether by phone or in person
* Providing initial support and assessing needs for further assistance
* Distributing food parcels and connecting clients with additional services
* Keeping accurate and confidential client records
* Supporting team meetings and events with admin coordination
* Championing Anglicare's values in everything you do
About You
* Experience or qualifications in social work, customer service, or similar
* Confident handling sensitive conversations with empathy and calm
* Skilled at managing multiple priorities under pressure
* Strong communication skills, especially with clients in crisis
* Organised, proactive, and ready to make a difference
* Hold a valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
