Job Description
* Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Manage and reconcile accounts, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient financial operations.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
* Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
* Identify process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CA).
* Proven experience in financial accounting within the insurance or related industry.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Workday is desirable, but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
