Worklocker is the Sunshine Coast's leading destination for workwear, safety gear, and work boots, with stores in Maroochydore, Kawana, and Morayfield, plus a dedicated garment decoration facility. We stock the industry's best brands — FXD, Steel Blue, CAT, Blundstone, Steel Blue, Mongrel, and more — and we look after tradies, industrial workers, and businesses across the region every day.
Maroochydore is our busiest store — high foot traffic, a loyal trade customer base, and the highest turnover in the group. It's a fast-paced retail environment where no two days look the same, and it's the store that sets the standard for the rest of the business.
The Role
We're looking for a hands‐on, commercially minded Store Manager to lead our Maroochydore team. You'll own the day‐to‐day running of the store, drive sales performance, develop your team, and deliver the kind of service that keeps customers coming back. This isn't a back‐office role — you'll be on the floor, leading from the front, and setting the standard for what a great workwear retail experience looks like.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
* Manage, mentor, train and coach, a diverse team of staff
* Recruit and roster full‐time and casual employees
* Build a culture that's positive, professional, and customer‐focused
* Report regularly on team performance, sales and stock
* Work closely with the Head of Retail and other store managers on group‐wide initiatives
Sales & Performance
* Achieve and exceed monthly sales budgets and KPIs
* Identify and develop B2B and trade account opportunities in the local area
* Monitor team and store performance daily and take the required action where required.
Customer Experience
* Deliver a consistently high standard of service on the shop floor
* Build long‐term relationships with trade and business customers
* Champion product knowledge across the team
* Resolve customer issues quickly and fairly
Stock & Operations
* Manage stock levels, replenishment, and stocktakes
* Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation are always on point
* Oversee cash handling, banking, and end‐of‐day procedures
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years' experience managing a retail store, ideally in workwear, safety, footwear, hardware, or a related trade‐facing category
* A genuine passion for the workwear and safety industry (or a strong willingness to learn it quickly).
* Passion for people with a customer‐first mindset
* Strong leadership skills — build, motivate, and hold a team accountable
* Proven track record of hitting sales targets and growing a store's performance
* Confident with retail POS systems, stock management, and basic reporting (experience with Retail Express is a bonus)
* Reliable, organised, and able to juggle priorities in a busy retail environment
* Available to work a Saturday rotation
