Salvos Stores is the retail arm of a well-established charity organization, operating as a fully functioning business that specializes in recycling pre-loved goods and relies on public generosity.
The business model contributes to important community programs operated by the organization. Volunteers play an integral role in the daily operations, generously offering their time to assist with various tasks.
* Customer service roles
* Visual merchandising
* Sorting donations from the public (bric-a-brac, homewares, jewelry, books, toys, etc)
* Assisting with clothes production for retail sale
* General housekeeping
Commitment:
We are seeking individuals who can commit to regular shifts, equivalent to more than 6 months.
Training:
Ongoing support and training will be provided to ensure success in the role.
Time Required:
This role offers flexible scheduling, allowing for discussions with the Store Manager regarding shift length and commitment.
Reimbursement:
No reimbursement is provided for this volunteer role.
Requirements:
All volunteers and employees are required to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, arranged via the organization.
Note: Volunteers under 18 years of age who do not access organizational assets are exempt from this requirement.
The minimum age to volunteer is 15 years old.
