Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? I Care Nursing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Traralgon, VIC. This casual role will involve providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to disabled clients in our Supported Independent Living Homes. We also have community access shifts available for team members who enjoy supporting participants in social, recreational and community-based outings.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events
Providing emotional support and companionship to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life
Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure continuity of care
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for:
A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field
Previous experience working in the aged care or disability support sector, preferably in a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide compassionate care
A genuine commitment to promoting the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of disabled individuals
A current driver's licence and reliable mode of transportation
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
A valid first aid certificate and police check
