The Opportunity
As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as the critical link between customers, sales, engineering, suppliers, and service teams. This is a hands‐on technical role focused on supporting solution‐based projects from concept through to realization.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing layouts, designs, and technical solutions for customer applications.
* Preparing cost estimates, drawings, specifications, and proposal documentation.
* Supporting sales teams with technical presentations and customer engagement.
* Conducting equipment selection, performance validation, and product testing.
* Managing elements of project engineering including supplier coordination and scheduling.
* Supporting production planning for locally assembled products.
* Collaborating with service teams during installation and commissioning phases.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives using design and simulation tools.
* Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 systems and quality standards.
The role is primarily office‐based but includes site visits and occasional interstate travel. Overseas travel may be required for training.
About You
You are a technically capable and commercially aware engineer who thrives in a project‐driven environment.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience working on varied project sizes within industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar design software.
* Solid project management and coordination capability.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* A proactive, "can‐do" attitude with strong attention to detail.
* Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
