What You'll Be Doing
* Act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote a learning culture that supports innovative practice across the mental health drug and alcohol portfolio.
* Implement and evaluate clinical education programmes.
* Assist with local orientation of all new nurses to MHDA placements – including agency nurses.
* Identify individual learning needs.
* Support staff to provide clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice.

How To Apply
* Current Authority to practice as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation (AHPRA).
* Holds a relevant clinical or educational post‐registration qualification or three years clinical experience in mental health nursing and education.
* High level communication and interpersonal skills.
* Understanding of teaching and facilitation in adult learning principles within the health care environment.
* Demonstrated clinical teaching and facilitation skills to individuals or in group settings using the practice development framework.
* Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment processes.
* Computer literacy including the use of planning documents, reporting schedules and excel spreadsheets; sound knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Word and ability to use hospital systems to pull the necessary data.
* Clean and current driving licence and the ability to travel with the requirements of the role.
